Dream job? Get a great salary for... shopping in the UAE

“Get paid to shop!” or “get free stuff!” – sounds like one of those bogus adverts which are irritating and a waste of time to even look at. But don’t be so quick to scoff at this one.

An Abu Dhabi-based company is looking for candidates who can shop in the UAE and, while doing so, maintain a keen eye on certain aspects. International Service Check, the company that we are talking about here, is looking for people who love to shop and have knowledge of fashion, trends and all things that can portray you as a shopaholic.

Yes, get paid to shop or become a mystery shopper as it’s called.

“In keeping with our strategic focus and dedication to check the quality of customer service, [we] would like to do our part in this exclusive niche market. And, therefore, we are currently looking for you,” says the company in its advert.

To be a strong candidate for the advertised posts you need to be a person who likes shopping. There are no two ways about it. Besides that, you should be a thoughtful person with an eye for detail and with good reporting skills. You should also have a creative mind and a strong visual sense of luxury. You need to be familiar with/interested in luxury trends and be a reliable and presentable individual.

In the job, you will be required to analyze the service provided by luxury brands, known for their prestigious, classic and high-quality products. You also have to live or often visit Abu Dhabi.

If you identify yourself with the company and meet the criteria, you just need to register in the company’s database, which can be done by going to their website and then choosing to be a service checker.

The hiring company has performed service quality checks for some of the world’s best known brands from Fortune 500 companies, to small and medium sized businesses worldwide. Their services include mystery shopping programmes, competitor studies, price comparisons, interviews with customers, distribution audits, mystery calls, sharing and tweeting.

So, get your shopping cart out and get ready to make some money – sounds like my dream job!
